Hi Alda Welcome to the forum! Sorry about the breakdown. That timing chain has to be adjusted every 10000km. If you are in desperate need of the parts, you can order from Ventz in PMB. If you can wait 3 to 4 weeks order from Pavel in the Ukraine Their details can be found here: locsa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sparep&action=display&thread=652Has the cylinder head been removed to establish that valves were damaged? If not, I would strongly recommend that this should be the first step Do not hesitate to ask more questions if needed. good luck Spikes

Hi Spikes.. thanks for the additional info. Spoke to Ventz, he gave me a detailed break down of what I might need and a cost per unit - he also has everything in stock. I take her in tomorrow to open the cylinder head to see what I will need to get. I have a full set of service manuals for her thanks. I keep seeing mention of Fiat parts to sub for Lada parts... have not yet investigated this... my gut says stay with Lada parts.. is this a feasibilty / and with regards to cost?? Any thoughts / advice?? thanks again !! stoked that she might be on the road soon - dont want to count my chickens.. but feels good to be moving in that direction ! Alda

Hi everyone.. Blessings for 2013 Thank you for the welcome.. @ Spikes - thank you for the advice. We opened the cylinder head and the damage is nowhere near what was first thought. New mechanic is a wize at sourcing parts - getting the rest from Ventz. Out of stock is the TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER. Chris Swales does not have either and cant get hold of Lada Centurion.. Any suggestions anyone ?? Thank you !! Alda

Hi Alda If Ventz does not have in stock, it is highly unlikely that you will find one from the local suppliers. Perhaps one of the members who has one squirreled away could help out....( on an exchange basis of course) Quickest one to respond to import queries will be Pavel www.ladapower.comYou could have the parts by end of next week if you are prepared to pay the EMS tariffs regards Spikes
