Good day from the Fire Cracker Capital of the world. Hopefully all irritated nabours who couldn't sleep last night are now preparing a nicely curried spiced monster of a fire cracker, and lit it up when shoved up their irritating nabour's arses. Happy new year to everyone. Regards Danie

Hi Danie The fire cracker capital seems to stretch as far as Pennington, Which is a fire works free zone At least this year it was raining so that put a damper on things ;D. Hope you all had a good new year. Ronnie

Hi guys I saw a wrangler fitted with ones of these a couple of min ago at Spar. I was looking at it yesterday. I think it will be awesome on a Niva. Charles Attachments:

Hi Charles
If you add things like that out on the back you would need to fit stiffer springs. When you load the Niva it drops very quickly at the back. It is supposed to have a payload of 400kg, but Ari`s was already well down at the back long before that. When you add one thing it very often leads to some other modification which you did not intend to do.

Ronnie I know. When it comes to that I will have stiffer springs made up.

On the steering box, what goes in the front hole. Drag link or tie rod?

Do you guys think the oil in the box and gearbox itself gets hot enough to melt melt glue? I repaired my reverse light switch with it.

Hi Charles
Between the heat and the oil I think it will leak. Is the diff lock switch still OK if it is swap them over . One is in oil the other is not. I don`t think that switch will be expensive?. Ask Ventz.

Hi Ronnie
It is the diff lock switch. There was just a plug in for the reverse switch. The switch is over R300. I allready have a plan. I have a trigger switch that I can mount so that when in reverse the lever will push it.

Hi Guys
Had a nice long talk with Ari yesterday when he visited me. Lots of lada talk. He will be sending my coils to me next week. He is flying back on thusreday. So he will have to spend most of friday on the forum just to catch up. He is missing his lada so much you can almost see tears in his eyes when he talkes about her. ;D
Guys can you please post a couple of pics of your seat brackets. I busy planning mine now, but I am still undecided. Have a couple of ideas but I want a couple more.
Thanks guys.
Happy playing.

Hi all well Vents popped in to visit me on his holiday in the wonderful CAPE. Got to meet his family. Well after a few beers and loads of LADA talk he was on his way. Great meeting you Vents, i will be doing my best to keep the wonderful machines on the road and get more on the road again. Well in the cape on my books we now have over 30 ladas on the road and looks like another 4 to join the ranks and growing.
It was interesting to find out that my Lada was and England import to Swaziland and then into SA. WE LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY.
Well I hope that in the near future CAPE LADA DOCTOR will be recognised as the official Lada service centre in greater western province. I am sure with all the support I am getting at the mo this will become a reality.
Go LADA NIVA WE ARE COMING BACK WITH A VENGEANCE.

i must admit i never expected it do do so well. It is an adventure almost every day. It is also scary to see the condition of some of these ladas and what some other mechanics try to do to fix things.
