always use two GOOD QUALITY spanners wich fit perfectly. Try to put them on like this that you can squeeze the one to the other with your hands around both of them. Don't use just one spanner! You could break the cilinder right of the bell housing! best thing indeed is to take the lot of so you can put it in a vice. use break cleaner, as Charles said, but don't spray it on any rubber parts.

Hi Christo.
Speak to Ventz, he has some stock arriving soon. The prices are comparable to other local products. Or ask Danie to give you instructions on importing.
Re-boring is really expensive.

Hi Christo
If I understood your post correctly, you were referring to the clutch Slave Cylinder ?

Hi All.
I overall the clutch master cylinder today which blown the seals and leak brakefluid into the vehicle, the last weekend during our house moving
The sealkit used are K7503X and available at Midas at a cost of R25.00.
The clutch is now 100% again and the Lada can be enjoyed in everyday driving.
Regards.

Hi Christo
I would advice you to try the Midas kit as mentioned by Hercules - you probably just need the new seal kit, which is obviously very cheap.
Should you really have bigger problems, just send me a PM - I have recently ordered a new Slave Cylinder from Pavel, which is not needed right now. I have to place another order from Pavel in in near future, and can just add another slave cylinder to the new order.

Hi Guys.
My slave cylinder went first but the uno kit did not work. It seams the plunger is not standard anymore. The modification-by-basterds-without-mothers-virus had infected my niva in a severe manner.
The master cylinder has a groove like the fishriver canyon and although I have replaced the seals twice, it is obviously beyond repair. The new one should arrive before the weekend. I have been quoted on a resleeving in excess of R1300.

Hi Guys.
I have replaced the master and bled it well. It drives alot better but still engages very low on the floor.
How can I get it to engage with the pedal higher off the floor. The adjustment screw on the slave cylinder has no thread left.
Regards Spencer

Yikes dude... I'm pretty sure when the new slave arrives you'll have to turn the nuts on the plunger all the way back. Good luck

I think somebody needs to press the clutch pedal slowly down inside the car, while somebody have a close look at what stage the rod at the Slave Cylinder starts moving forward.
Should the rod at the Slave Cylinder moves forward almost immediately after the clutch pedal gets pressed down, it means that the Master cylinder works properly .
Should it takes some time before the Slave Cylinder rod moves forward (while the clutch pedal gets pressed down slowly), it means that there is a problem at the Master Cylinder. While a new Master Cylinder has already being installed, the problem could be at the Slave Cylinder, or the clutch plate, or the clutch pressure plates.

I'm trying to find a replacement dust boot for my Niva's clutch slave cylinder. Everything else is fine, just a perished dust cover. Seeing as I can't get one from Neil, and am unlikely to get one from another supplier, and I don't want a new slave cylinder (got one!), has anyone got any ideas as to where I can find a replacement, or what I could nick one off? Regards, John

Hi Shaun taking the gearbox and T/C out is really a 2-man job or you will need to work out some support structure for the gearbox. T/C not too heavy and awkward but lining the mainshaft and holding in place is difficult Midas or Autozone will be able to supply clutch kits which will contain the thrust or release bearing. And if you are lucky an alignment tool to centre the clutch Have a look on Baxter's there are some clear pics there. Good luck
