Hi Ari Any possibility of some close pics of the sparewheel bracket at the back, as well as the roof rack ?
I am thinking of building and mounting both items on my Lada, but have'nt made final plans yet.
Thanks.

Sorry but could not post the pics you asked for although I did take them ( with my stepmom's camera). It seems as though she left the USB cable at her daughter's place. Will try to make a plan to get them on by next week though.

The Landy Roof racks are 85mm wider and 70mm higher on the legs. My roof rack was originally build for a 86 Isuzu Trooper and fit perfect on the Lada because vehicles gutter width and roof hight are the same. I just had to shorten the roof rack to fit on the Lada. The 90,s Jeep Cherokee use also the same roof racks.

Ari, what is the purpose of the black pipe just above your left foot (or the other guy's left foot - at the back of the Lada) ?
Looking forward to see the pics.

Danie when I get the pics up I'm sure you'll see better ( Its the other guys foot not mine) but it looks like part of the ladder. AND if its not asking too much i'd really like that carb as the weber i'm running is slightly worn out and i've been told it stalls on steep climbs( something to do with the float shape)
Thanks Ari

Ari, if you are prepared to collect the carb in Edenvale, I can send the carb to our office there - no cost or postage fee.
I think the carb might just need a new kit - perhaps not.
Otherwise I could send the carb to yor home address - I can find out about the postal fee.
Just let me know.
Regards
Danie

Thanks a lot Danie. I should be able to get to edenvale in the next couple of weeks as I am writing exams now and don't have class everyday. There's just one thing and that is that i am going on holiday on the 19 Nov so it will be difficult to arrange for someone to pick it up after that.
Thank again Ari

Ari, since Hercules came forward with very valuable information regarding Weber carbs, please send me a PM regarding your final dissission.
Should you still need the standard carb, I can send it to our Edenvale branch during almost any day during the week, for delivery at our Edenvale adres the next day.
So if you still need the carb, you can still collect it in Edenvale during this week.
Best wishes with your studies.
Regards
Danie

Thanks Mike it works quite easily. Once it has generated the codes I chose IMG images for message boards.
The person in the last 2 pics is me and the other 2 people are my friends and fellow civil engineering students

Hi Ari I knew as soon as i saw the picture of your Lada it was the one we bought at the rand show in 1996? Danie asked about the roof rack, this was manufactured to order by Storm Industries in Edenvale. The spare wheel carrier I made to my own design. Will send some photos to the site. Excited to see her again. She had extra petrol tank fitted, four spots, aircon, heavy duty coil springs fitted for our Botswana trips. Originally registered as XCC 316T.
