My ISP trouble is more or less sorted for the time being with a 3G alternative until Telkom gets their act together.

Hi all
Recent discussions within the current Management Structure and on the LOCSA Forum indicated that we need to expand the number of Events Organizers to make it easier to organize events in the various regions. With this in mind we need to nominate people for the different areas.
The second thing we need to look at is to increase the number of active Moderators to at least three. On this matter I have already nominated Charles as the additional Moderator and my nomination has been forwarded to Kobus for the necessary appointment.
LOCSA’s Management Structure currently consists of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson, a Treasurer and two Events Organisers. We as members now need to nominate people to fill the current positions.
Nominations are now open. This includes any additional Events Organisers.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Moderator and Chairperson of LOCSA over the past two years and I remain 100% committed to LOCSA, the Forum, and to work towards a bright future for the Niva in South Africa. However I feel it is time for a new generation to be at the helm of LOCSA and I would there for not make myself available as Chairperson and Moderator or any other position within LOCSA’s Management Structure. Naturally I would continue to serve in my current position until the new team has been elected.
I would like to assure the new team of my continued support in any of their endeavours to improve and strengthen the LOCSA community. Finally I wish to thank everyone for their support and encouragement over the last two years, it was a great honour and pleasure to serve.
Kind regards Marius

Hi
Marius, I understand your reasoning behind stepping down and it will be sad to no longer see you on the board, we have prospered and our reputation has grown tremendously under your leadership. I for one would like to thank you for your commitment to LOCSA over the last 2 years.
I would like to nominate Charles for the Chairman position and Spikes for the Vice Chairman position and Danie as the Treasurer. Naturally this is dependent on them been willing to take up the positions and these nominations being seconded.
Cheers
Steve

Steve I would like to swop your nominations. I would like to rather stay vice chairman and have Spikes as Chairman.

And the nominations are... Chairperson: Charles Vice Chairperson: Steve (aka Ihar) Treasurer: Ari I second Spikes nominations for events organisers and I would like to nominate Ari for Events Organiser in the Eastern Cape. Hi all
With Spikes declining as Chairman I second his nomination for Steve as Charman. I myself decline the position as Chairman as I feel that position is suited to somebody more mature than myself.
All in all I agree with Spikes nominations and agree with Marius to add Ari as EC events organiser.

Hi Guys.
Thanks for the nomination as events organizer but I have to decline. My job is in the medical field and is therefore rather unpredictable. Case in point is this weekend where I had a call on Friday afternoon and spent all of yesterday in theatre with a coronary bypass. We supply much of the equipment and have to attend cases. My fear is that I may organize an event and not be able to be there myself.
My nominations would be: Steve for Chairman Charles for Vice-Chairman Hercules for Tresurer Ihar/Steve for Gauteng Events Sparky for Province Danie for KZN Ronnie for EU events. (World domination is just a hop skip and a jump away)
And a big thank you to the current management for growing LOCSA over the last couple of years. It has really made owning my Niva possible and pleasurable
Regards Spencer

I second Steve for events organiser in the Gauteng area as Spencer declined.
North West is quite close to Gauteng but I would like to nominate Christo (if he is willing) as the Events Organiser in the NWP.
Mike has also indicated that he would be able and willing in the Western Cape - so if anyone wishes to nominate Mike feel free to do so.

I am working towards resolving these issues and will advise everyone as soon as possible.

I would like to nominate Vincent rather as Vice-Chairperson as he seems to be unavailable for long periods of time (by his own admission).
PS- That is IF Steve is not available to serve on the LOCSA Management.
