I notice on a different thread that Ari advises changing the bushes when the suspension is out and stripped. I'm going to do just that. My question is what is the purpose of the bushes? (hope you don't think its a stupid question!) I can see its to fill up the hole at the end of the control arm but what does it affect? Handling, comfort or what? SJ The bushes isolate metal parts from each other, decreasing noise, vibration and harshness. Wear in a bush will accelerate wear in the metal suspension parts which can over time lead to a deterioration in handling. There are two schools of thought on the forum about replacing the standard rubber bushing with better wear resistant teflon (and I suspect that the vesconite fall into this category as well) but far less flexible than rubber bushes. The topic is somewhere in the technical section. I will eventually replace the rubber bushes with rubber when and if the suspension has to be stripped. Spikes
