Unfortunately not! My son has two left hands when things get technical so I am the dude looking after it and I quite enjoy it. Only two major things to do still and then RWC; do something about body rust and window winding mechanism

I have fitted a golf 1 mechanism on mine. Very little needs to be done to get it to fit. The original lada handle even fits on it. Will mail you pics if you want.

Good spot Ari, I also do zeroing to the daily odometer when refueling but obviously the last time I forgot.
Keep on looking further and you will find the answer of your question.

Hi,
Depending on whether Ventz only fills up when empty, I would say about 400km per tank based on the fuel gauge.
Which seems about right to me.

Ventz recently Visited Paarl. He connected with the Big Rock Lada Owners. We had very nice Informative Discussions. It was a great honour and pleasure to meet "Mr Lada". We were Seven (7) Owners from Paarl who met Ventz. In the Picture from Left to Right: Frans, Regard, Ferdie, Stephen, Ventz, Francois. Faffa hat to leave early. The Paarl Lada Owners will soon have a GTG.

Ventz also eplained the problems which may start when replacing parts. The problem may be as simple as replacing a shock and the Bush/Sleeve is not taken from the old shocks. Many times the Fitters does not know about this...

It's not always such a good idea to use foam insulation. It keeps heat inside the engine bay...

Correct Filters is very important. A filter may look like the correct one, but may just be a teeny weeny bit smaller. Dust can and will get into very small openings and can cause extensive damage...

Thanks for posting Steve! Second last picture shows interesting little mod on the fuel line with a second? in line fuel filter. Any comments about that mod? Oh and I am surprised that the inner retention strap on the spare wheel is still intact - mine broke quite quickly due to the engine heat. Marius

marius. Sorry that was not discussed. I'll ask about it when we meet again. Like Ventz, you Guys notice Every small mod. On our Lada's Tappet Cover is an Extra Breather pipe for no Reason. Ventz said that it can be blocked.

Thanks Steve it would be interesting to know it's purpose. Also one other thing - the reddish brown expansion tank could be cooling/corrosion issues BUT it is difficult to judge from here.
