The biggest/quickest/simplest engine power up mod I did was a 30KV quick discharge capacitor soldered across each spark plug. AMAZEING!!!!!!!!

Hi Bob
Is that only applicable to the systems with contact breaker ignitions?

The idea of bolting a supercharger to my lada is still eating away at me. Have ecu in place injection is setup a low comp engine. Stop me!

Thinking sc12 or g60 with top mounted intercooler. Wil try to get the boost around .5 bar and not shure about pullys yet.

Doesnt the g60 have a habit of running bearings and ruining the casing? 13b cooler wil work nicely.

Looks very impressive Bobby. Do you have a schematic drawing or pictures of the mod in place?

Bobby I would also like to know what effect this had- if any- on your fuel consumption?
Thanks in advance mate Marius

Fuel consumpsion dropped dramaticly. Cold starts were simply a turn the key and away! Heaps more and I mean heaps more torque low down, my Niva turned into a hill climbing demon! I could even short shift out on the road. The only problem I had was it just wouldnt start when hot, run start yes but not key start. To do this simply get some 30KV capacitors off ebay for a dollar each twist the end of one leg to fit around and under the endcap of the spark plug and solder the other leg to the sparkplug body install and go hard. I set my plug gaps a bit smaller than recommended to aid starting. A grunty coil with the same internal resistance will help (GT40) These are quick discharge capacitors but still hold a bit of grunt after shut down so be carefull they bite! believe me!

I cant find any of my photos but this is as easy and as cheap as it sounds, works great apart from the hot starts. I ended up haveing two connected full time to try and get the best of both worlds, I would change these two every now and then as two plugs would be normal/grotty and two would be incredibly clean. The hot start issue eventually made me give up, I even tried alligator clips on the caps so I could connect any amount. I tried them on my 1.3 ford Festiva and the misfire sparks were huge and I couldnt get them contained plus there wasnt much room around the plug in the head to muck around. I am planning on buying a set of pulstar plugs off ebay over the next few weeks, same but differnt
