Hi Danie
This is not my idea, this is the way Crispair designed the A/C kit for the Niva. The compressor is not modified and the two V,s have been factory made (Compressor factory), so I assume they will be available. From crisp air`s point of view, this way they are not interfering with the crank pulley at all. As long as the belt is not too ling I see no reason why one belt will not work for everything as per the Nissan 1400. This assumes there is no power steering as well.

Hi Ronnie .I assume power steering will eventualy come on the scene so maybe the best way of really knowing is to remove my Fiat pulley and try the Lada one ,But if it wont fit it seems a lot of work for nothing plus what worries me is how do i surport the crankshaft while tensioning crank nut again .Was hoping that someone may have had there pullies off and tried swaping them over as it was mainly the crankshaft sizes i was concerned about Thanks Guys .Cheers Trev .

Hi Darius
You can read this thread for all the info on Air Cons. Lada Centurion say the drop in oil pressure when the AC slows the motor even more at idle causes bearing failure. If the AC is installed properly there is NO PROBLEM. If you have an injected Niva the electronics will keep the revs constant. I have one fitted to a carb one and I would not be without it. I have a solenoid fitted to lift the revs at idle to whatever I want to set it at. There is no problem, if you want one fit it properly. If you have an injected Niva, when Ventz returns he has some new units available at R6500 (I think) fitted. This is a bargain!.
