Hi Dimitris
I don`t like the dashboard but the other parts look fine. The dash would look better if there was only "one pod". I also assume it is only available in left hand drive.

I like the fact that the dashboard has a clock, but you're right, they won't make it for the rhd cars

I thought that was just a clock but I see it onboard computer, thats very nice.
I also see that it has aircon. The unit looks more compact than the ones we got here or am I mistaken?

This is generally good. But the middle section of the dashboard is very high and creates a sense that hampered the visibility.(I hope to understand what I mean).

Just got a fantastic idea. Will do it sometime on mine. Fill up all the cracks in the dash with qbond and powder and then plasti dip the whole dash. Fantastic stuff. If it was cheaper I would do my whole car. Or who is willing to sponser me to do it?

Plasti Dip - www.plastidip.com/ availalbe in blue, red and black at builders warehouse Coat anthing in it and can peel off later with apparently no damage to the underlying paint, Charles want to cover his Niva in it, I think he said it costs about R113 for cab and need 5 cans to cover a niva. Thus he also want to repair the cracks in his dash and then plastic coat it.

Hi Charles,
There is a spray-on plastic foam on the market that sets quite quickly and can be shaped. Saw a demo at a show last year.
I'll have a look and see if I can find the brochure

Hi Allen
I saw a demo but never followed up on it. One of the applications was filling cavities on sail boats and motor boats to improve float and as sound proofing spray on material. The finished product could be sanded to shape and be painted.
Drop the supplier an e-mail, maybe they have a stockist here.
Regards
Spikes

Hello All
This is the response from the manufactures of Smooth-On. If somebody knows what the dash is made of then i can speak to them about it? Date: 10-12-2012 12:36:21 Name: Luis Pizarro: Hello Allen, I would not recommend this product to repair a cracked dashboard. What is the original dashboard made of? I may be able to recommend another material AMT stocks regularly. Best regards, Luis Pizarro Smooth-On, Inc.
Regards, Allen

Hi all, I have been wondering about this for a while.. Seeing lots of Lada's seem to have cracks in the dash.. is there no way to make a mold of a dashboard that doesn't have cracks in it.. and make like a dashboard cover or something like that.. I don't have any cracks in my dashboard so was just wondering if there is anything like that, that I could look at doing. Not to try and make money ofcourse, just to help those that want to fix the cracks. Any ideas or is it a silly idea? D
