Your major problem will be re aligning the gb and clutch and then the gb and tc if you never marked their positions before removing them.

Is it neccesary to apply some sort of sealant between the bellhousing and gearbox? it seems by inspection that the previous owner had done that. What type of sealant would I use?

Red gasket maker available at any spares shop. Apply a thin layer to one surface. Ensure that both surfaces are clean before applying then apply then bolt together.

Hi guys, now reassembling, got the gearbox, tranny, clutch cyllinder etc in
Just quick question, I have forgot on what side the FI speed sensor and speedometer connectiions sit as both have nearly identical holes that they plug into, any help on that?

That is unique to the TBI but if I remember correctly the speedo cable is the bottom one?
EDIT> the one on the inside is for the speedo cable

Happy to report the old girl is back up and running Luckily the mud marked the position of the tranny mounts. I get minor virbtations of the low/hi-range selector, how much is acceptable? How do I know if the gb and clutch and gb and tranny are alligned propperly?
