Hi Brendan Welcome to the forum. If nobody on the forum can help you, Jan Pretorius (Centurion Lada), or Chris Swales Motors (Pinetown) should have stock. I am not sure about the price though - used to be a bit steep. You could import one from Russia as well - if you are not in too much of a hurry. If you are thinking about doing your own imports, you will find more details here : locsa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=12Another option is to do a slight modification on a a Fiat Ldv waterpump - Hercules, (another forum member) did this mod, and you could have a look at his comments under this topic for more details : locsa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=14&page=2If you need more information about Hercules' mod on the Fiat waterpump, I am sure that Hercules will be more than willing help you. He also finds himself in your area, and works on other owner's Ladas as well. If you need Hercules' contact details, you will find it here : locsa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=31Hope this will help. Regards Danie

Hallo Brendan.
Welcome to the forum. If you don't wanna mod a Fiat waterpump, you can contact Argus motor spares in Rietpan - Benoni, they will be glad to order you one as they list it on their books. They do not carry it in stock and I am not sure about the prize. Their contact no: 011-747-5200 or 011-973-3721.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
Hercules.

Hi thanks, I eventually got the water pump from Centurion Lada a bit pricy, just over R2000 for the pump and thermostat. She is still running to hot sometimes. Sadly I have to sell her, I need the time and money for my other interest off road gokarting.

Hi Brendan
Sorry to hear that you have to sell.
R2000.00 for a waterpump + thermostat is very pricy, and would obviously scares anybody to death . Prices like this are probably destroying the image of Ladas in South Africa as well.
The good news is, prices of waterpumps are only between 25 to 30 US$ (without transport costs) - if imported directly from Russia. Forget about Russian thermostats - perhaps suitable for Russia, but not suitable for our local conditions.
Regards
Danie

Hi All
With prices like that who would want to deal with this agent. I think the price is a disgrace. I have just paid 90 rand at the same agent for 2 nuts. It wont happen again.
Regards
Ronnie
