Hi Spike, you are surely a guy to take with on a 4 x4 trip into the bundoes - if every team member only do his little bit while on a mission, a mammoth task becomes a pleasure for everyone (not to mention how pride you are after achieving something special and how good you feel if you helped somebody - remember the old days?). but, ag nou ja, not everybody understand that the best part of a real achievement is actualy getting there (because not a single soul can boast that he knows what tomorrow will bring - one bunch of madmen offloading passengers into two highrise buildings in America changed the whole world in a few seconds, still affecting millions up to this very day). I ask not because I am bored, but because I am really interested; what is the hard work to maintain a website (especially if we do it as a team)? Can somebody shed a bit of light on this, please? (He, He, can not let the oppurtunity go by to mention that the whole reason why the LOCSA website came into existence is because Janbody told Danie that only specialists can work on or maintain Lada's. Look where we are today! Sure, the same applies to maintaining a low traffic website (required to grow and maintain a healthy Lada presence in sunny SA/Sub Sahara Africa). Danie is even so windhat nowadays that he is modifying his Lada; maybe we must tel him that only IT techies can maintain a website, and we may end up with a website complete with a turbo, a dumpvalve and a hand made sump! ;D ;D Regards, Fanus

Hi Fanus
I agree about almost everything you have mentioned - everything possible should be done to keep things going. I am sure in the end it should not be too difficult to get the website going.
You are also correct - soon after I bought my Lada almost 6 years ago, I realized that there was a lot of bulsh@t going on in our local "Ladaworld", which irritated all hell out of some owners - included myself.
But you are incorrect about me being "windgat nowadays" - I have actually been a bit of a windgat all my life . ;D .
I always find modifications very interesting, and have also done some mods on my own vehicles during my lifetime. And that's why I love my Lada so much - as you have mentioned, nothing beats the feeling of pride when a modification is successful.
Regards
Danie

OK I got the point. The website will stay but the photos are staying with the forum.
Agreed?

Hi Kobus
That would be fine! But please keep the "gallery" button on the website pointing to the "Member's photo gallery" thread though.
Thanks
Spikes
