Dear All / Somebody Who Knows. Is there any Relation between the Lada and the "older" Kia Sportage? They look very much the similiar to me from a distance. Could be from the same manufacturer if it was not for the branding. Recently saw a Kia for Sale in Robertson. Thought it was a "newer" 4D Lada. When I took a closer look, saw it's a Kia 4D LHD Sportage Diesel. Regards Steve Attachments:

I am actually thinking of buying one. Or maybe a Daihatsu Terios. Then the Lada will be just a toy.

Always had an odd liking for the Sportage. Never had a really close look at one underneath though, to see what would keep me busy under there! Only problem I have with the Terios is the lack of low range. Otherwise, a good motor.

If you want a Diahatsu rather look at the Rocky but they seem quite rare over here.

The Kia Sportage has a mazda motor. The 2L 16V FE motor. Same one as the old 626. Very strong motor. Also likes boost.

P.s Marius if you think getting spares for the Lada is tough try getting spares for a Rocky!
