No problem Nikki - I was thinking of trying to get a replacement rubber boot for my old slave cylinder as well.
Anyway , no luck so far - I have been at Autozone, and the guy told me that no loose rubber caps are available.
Enjoy the camping !

This link seems to be very reliable, and can be used for tracking EMS (Speed Post) parcels from the Ukraine : ems.sapo.co.za/EmsWebSite/index.htmA parcel will only be traced at this Link once the parcel has arrived in South Africa. The Link will give an error message while the parcel is still at Customs. Thanks to Ari for supplying this information at another Thread. Danie

Hi Charles / Ari
To my understanding our parcels have been posted on the same date, (Saturday) and at the same time by Pavel.
My parcel has been sent by EMS - has your parcel been sent by EMS, or standard Airmail ?
Should your parcel be sent by standard Airmail, I think it might be interesting / helpful to compare the dates of delivery.

Danie mine was also send by EMS. $40 more expensive but I do not want to wait a month for the parts.

No problem.
I still believe EMS shipments moves a lot faster than standard Airmail at Customs, and will report back as soon as my parcel arrives.
If there is any delay with your parcel, please let us know.

Hi Charles According to the link below, my parcel has been scanned and "received at office of exchange" at 7H02 this morning - the location is "JIMC E EMS". I guess "JIMC" might mean Johannesburg International Customs. ems.sapo.co.za/EmsWebSite/index.htmDanie

JIMC E EMS is indeed customs JHB, Charles's parcel has been dispatched to H/dorp or Jeffrey's but Danie's seems to be still in bond

Might even be there tomorrow. . .
For customs send means sent, their tenses aren't that good.

Hi Charles My parcel has been delivered at my work address at 12H10 today. The parcel has not been tampered with by Customs, and was in perfect condition. This means the parcel has been delivered on the 6 th day, since it has been posted by Pavel ! A pic of some of the components: By the way - I am quite convinced that the gearbox Thrust Rings (first row at the left of the pic, 2nd from the top) are made of thicker steel than the Thrust Rings which I have found inside my gearboxes. It should definitely be stronger than the original rings, and my intention is to re-open one of the gearboxes, and compare the thickness of the different rings. Christo, your clutch Slave and Master cylinders can be seen at the right of the pic. I will send you a PM or e.mail as soon as possible. Danie

Danie I agree with what you said about the thrust rings.
So I will be pulling the gearbox again sometime to fit the new ring.

Yea - I will open both 'boxes to replace the original Thrust Rings. I often wondered why the Russians ever bothered making those rings from such thin steel, but here is some visual proof that the rings from Pavel are about twice as thick as the original rings . The ring at the left is from Pavel: Danie
