Hi all,
I am in the mood for heavy negotiations with Russia in connection with some of the tooling and/or drawings etc they used to make various right hand drive parts for our ladas. As an example, the dash and steering box. How many Ladas owners are there on this site? I will need to gather some information and will request the Chairperson and those who who know certain details around the amount of ladas in SA to inform me accordingly.
Regards

Hi Ari
I'm on the forum almost every day, but don't always log in. It's probably the same for some of the other members.

Hi Darius
You are most welcome to persue this matter.
Ventz is unfortunately not available, but the figure I got from him is around 500 Lada Niva's that was imported into South Africa during the late 90's and early 2000.

Logging in however does mean that the number of recognised users increases. I always look at who has been online in the past 24 hours out of pure interest. Regards Vincent ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi all
I know I promised to talk to the Russian KGB to send us their tooling for RHD Lada Nivas, I asked Bond, James Bond to step in for me. And just as I thought, he got himself a nice looking red head to get busy with on some island or something. Bastard, I am going to whip his ass next time we get together for a Martini.
Maybe some of you have noticed that I am quiet at the moment and have not posted any new comments on the forum. I just recently started a new job and I am focusing on that for the time being. But I am on the forum quite frequently just to have a quick scan of what is going on. But the guys on BBM chat will tell you that I'm actually not keeping my mouth shut over there and I probably irritate them with my constant incompetent questions. But I owe them all a case of beer and a packet of biltong!!
I have not forgotten and once I am settled in at my job I will start with Mother Russia.

Hi Darius The Ratel is well known for it's tanasity - exactly what LOCSA requires! I once hit a ratel with my Honda near Stellenbosch - it just kept on going as if nothing has happened! Fortunately the damage on the Honda wasn't too bad. Good luck with the new job and let us know when you are ready. Marius
