So shiny.... Need a good set of tools. But my TC has potentially kicked the bucket, so that has priority.

Hi Vincent and All
You can walk into Makro and buy the same type of spanner. The only problem I could see was the ratchet end will not get into a confined space due to size.

Ahh but Ronnie The Makro set and the Gearwrench set are not even in the same league. These are PROFESSIONAL tools - Like you bought when you were young :-) The Quadbox is larger than the standard X-Beam heads but that has 2 sizes per end. Each quadbox spanner is effectively 4 spanners. And as Koos had said - They are sooo shiny. Hey this is male bling Regards Vincent

Hi Vincent
I do not have money for quality tools now and I have so many tools any way. My problem with the spanner you are looking at is they are useless in confined spaces which is where you need a ratchet in the first place. I have looked at them many times and ended up walking away. A quality socket is far more versatile.

Those are nice to have tools and can make life a little easier. I am just worried about strength and durability and like Ronnie sockets would be more useful - esp in confined spaces.

Hi Marius
When I looked at the ratchet spanners they looked good quality, my gripe with these nice to have tools is the limited use you will get out of them when for example removing a transfer box and gear box. I have in excess of 150 sockets most of which will go where the ratchet spanners will not. I would have other priorities for my money, if I had some to spare. ;D

My tools that work the most is my 3/8 and 1/4 socket sets. But still those will be fantastic to have.

Hi Nikki
If I were you I'll take it to a reputable workshop and let them undo the 2 plugs for you - with a good quality ring spanner.
