Hi All, just joined the group. I have a 1600 shell with plenty interior mods, still trying to find out who did them. Jannie put a new 1700 motor; GB; DIFF; ETC. Subsequently I got a knock on a bearing, and really need to her back on the road.

Hi Julian - and welcome at the forum.
Sorry to hear about the engine problem. Did you get any warranty on the new motor ?
Please feel free to send us some pics about the interior mods - all pics are always welcome. And feel free to ask any question - perhaps somebody might be able to help.
Hope you manage to solve the problem soon.
Regards
Danie

Hi Julian
Did you manage to solve the engine problem ?
If you are doing the repairs yourself, it might be worthwhile to strip the oil pump, and having a close look at the oil pump gears. A worn oil pump could be the cause of your problem.
The oil pump should rather always be replaced when rebuilding a Lada engine.

Danie
