Hi Koos You surely enjoyed the outing. Please give some more info on the location. If it's not privately owned, it could be well worth to visit. Could not go camping this year. Last year we've been to Tietiesbaai (Cape Columbine). One of my colleaques told me they went to the West Coast - a very remote place. Even had to take their own drinking water. They had a very relaxing weekend. Still waiting for more info. We once went to Doringbaai. Good to see all the "Nature Lovers" on LOCSA.
Regards Stephn

Hey Stephen
Camped on a secluded campsite about 4km outside of Lambertsbay, and went to all the little towns surrounding it, Elandsbay, Doringbay and Strandfontein. It was actually way to busy at the time, but still nice.
The first 6 photos and the 1 of the boat is in a "private" reserve we were for 4 days (nice and quite). It was in the West Coast National Park. The general public can only access small parts of it and i think there is no camping allowed. Most of it is open to the public in flower season though (September).
It is an old family property we have there which, as far as I understand the history, was put in the care of the National Park service to protect it from government acquisition during the first or second world war I think. Donkergat (submarine/Rekkies base) was taken away that way. The farmers from Franschhoek and I think a other few towns took there herds there in winter when the grazing was better there than here.

Beautiful pics, Koos. I would also like to visit the Westcoast, maybe later in the year.
