Hi
Welcome to the Forum. I have not heard of this before, but other members may have. It can only be petrol or voltage related. (I think). As you have tried cleaning the carb try when stationary and the engine running move all the ignition related wiring you can and see if you can find a loose connection. Try at the coil, distributor, ignition module, etc. Check all the push on connectors are clean and free from corrosion. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Welcome to the forum. Check the earth connection from the battery for a broken pole and any earth straps that are fitted, make sure the body is cleaned to bare metal where straps are fitted. My guess is it is electrical related Spikes

Is the jerking mechanical? That is to say, do the propshafts make a heavy clunking noise or do you think it starts at the engine? (My guess would be electrical too)
