That's a good place to mount your hooter too as it gets a bashing on the other side.

Hi Marius
I will do that aswell seeing as the hooters I want to use is too big to fit behind the grill. My relay for my spots, hooter and fan is also mounted there. I just filed on of the corners so that I can screw the relay in with the screws that holds that bracket on.
I first want to sort out all the wiring then put sleeving over everything to protect it and get it neat. When I got the car all the wires were lying loose$ Nice big fire hazard. I made brakets that I bolted to the wheelarches so that I could cable tie the wiring to it. I do not like the idea of wires lying loose under the bonnet at all. You will see I even put heat shrink over the terminals that goes onto my relays. I would prever to use relay plugs like Ronnie did, but nobody here stocks them or are willing to order them for me.
Ronnies thought he lives in the back woods but I think I am even thurther in.

Wait till you come to the North West ;D Very difficult to find certain speciality goods over here - Cape Town was great in that respect. Nearly surprised you down in Jeffreys over the long weekend but things did not exactly went according to plan. Maybe some other time Marius

Hi Charles
This is the first time I was able to get them. It makes changing the relay a plug in and out job. The terminals which go into the bases come separate and are special as they have a tang to lock them in to the base. You have guessed right,I could not get them and had to modify the plain ones to suit. It was worth the effort. I also do not like fitting the relays under the bonnet as I have had corrosion problems in the past due to water. Nearly all the relays except Bosch are made in China now this includes Hella which have already given me problems. (2 out of 8)

Hi Marius
That would have been really nica. Hopefully next time.
Ronnie worst of all is the biggest auto electrical place in town tells me that relay plugs does not exist and I do not know what I am talking about. Living at the coust I also had corrosion problems on relays on my conquest. I now just spray them with SPARK, made by Spanjaard, (its like q20 but a bit thinner and better) and I have never had that problem again. Keep in mind my car stays outside and I like 1.5km from the sea.

Hi Ronnie & Charles This may be what you are looking for. Relays can be found in "relays" but the female side as per attachment is in "connectors + relays" hope I understood you correctly regards Spikes Attachments:

I did a search when I read your and Ronnie's posts. I don't have prices BUT it seems worthwhile trying and follow up. They also stock MAP sensors for Ladas. I see they also have a lot of Fiat electrical parts that may fit NIVA Spencer and NIKKI to take note

Hi Spikes
I have looked at their prices and they are very expensive. Double what I paid. Plenty on the site though

Well Charles, if nothing else, you can at least prove to salesperson i your local spares shop, that the connectors DO exist:) Did anyone of you check the price on the MAP by any chance?

Hi Spikes
I checked and as usual I have already forgotten the exact price, but they were about R16 each and I paid about R8 excluding the connectors which should only be about 6 cents each.

Spikes price is p.o.a. I think it should be close to that of the opel one. Basically the same.

Hi Charles Check on page 5 of the "general" thread. A standard NIVA air filter sits on top of the TBI. If you want to see something specific let me know. I'll oblige regards S
