Charles, I'm certainly interested. I'll have to go check my manual but this is something I might look at when I do a lil lift on my Lada. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong thing.

Hi Charles
My problem in fitting different parts from other vehicles when the original is available is when the car changes hands. The poor new owner has no idea what make of parts to buy.

Then I should just keep the Niva for ever. Jokes aside I know that is a problem, if I do something like this I will keep a list of the other parts that I used.

Hi Charles I'm interested. The modified part can always be removed when / if you want to revert.

Hi Charles
If you fit the adapter and the new ball joint how much of an effective lift are you going to give the Niva ?. If you lift the front the back should also be lifted.

Might not have a need for this anymore as I am looking at importing genuine one. Mine is fine anyway.

If anyone has a loose balljoint please measure the shaft for me. At the bottom just above the threads and again at the top. Have found one that looks identical to the Niva one in the book. Just need the measurements to confirm.

Charles, I'll see if I can do it but my new mission is taking much longer than I thought it would. Then the parents is also visiting from the Cape. So...maybe next week. Perhaps someone else will chip in before that.
Happy Lada times,
Jaco
