If you make it I'll test it for you to see that it works. ;D ;D ;D
The only way to get that is to make it yourself. Try conact the guy who made it, or whose lada it is.

Hi Charles
If you want Portal axles look for a Steyr Daimler Puch Pinzgauer which came as standard with them. It is similar to a Unimog. But why would anyone want a vehicle with another 4 sets of gears to go wrong ?

Ronnie that is the problem with most mods. It just adds stuff that can go wrong. Still looks great. The ones on the unimogs never go wrong, then again that isn't a car. Its a baboon with a steeringwheel and seats.

err Charles....... being Russian, the Lada can only (Like the Stig) undrstand a few things. Meat (unless it happens to be horse) is something that it does not understand. Sausage and potato is however RIGHT up its alley ;D. The sausage should not however be as sophisticated as boerewors.

Haha.
Ari to anwser your question they have grease nipples so its full of grease. If it was mine I would use white truck bearing grease.

Hi Charles
Grease color has no difference on the actual grease ability. Chances are they would use an NLGI 00 or even 000 grease. This would behave like an oil, but not leak out.

Can you tell me how bad is it to add grease to gearbox oil?

The Lada under discussion has probably been purpose built to take part in 4 x 4 Challenges (competitions) only. At the local 4 x 4 Competitions all purpose built competition vehicles arrive at the events on trailers as well. These 4 x 4 vehicles do not get used on open or public roads, and only get used on short tracks. Danie

You don't want to go through a corner at speed with this kind of mod ;D
This Ruski one is definitely for extreme 4x4 events ONLY!

Can you tell me how bad is it to add grease to gearbox oil? Charles VERY VERY BAD !!!! The problem with grease is that the soap or thickener - The sponge that actually holds the oil - accelerates oil degradation when introduced into an oil filled sump. You see this degradation as SLUDGE The additives that are in the oil are more often than not caused to "fall out of the oil" You are effectively left with an oil but greatly reduced load carrying a bility. Rather use a fluid grease NLGI 00 or 000 if you need to stop leakage from a gearbox. It is however not recommended to place fluid grease into the drive train of a normal Lada.
