I'm sure a trailer would be ok. Just not one thats too big, remember altitude makes your car run with less power and a trailer will add more drag as well.
I might join you depending on the exact dates.

There is some real tight turns near the top, where even some bakkies and longer vehicles struggled as they needed to turn, push back and turn again to make it. So you should be real carefull with a trailer

Yea, Sani might be easier for the big boys who have bigger toys, but I would not tow a trailer up Sani Pass without All Terrain tyres fitted to my Lada. The weather at Sani is quite unpredictable, and a nice, sunny day can turn to cloudy, misty, or rainy conditions real quick. It looks like this could be a rainy weekend, and should your Lada be without All Terrain tyres, it might be better to leave the trailer at home. Danie

Is there a road in there somewhere, just looks like a bad washout to me.

Is there a road in there somewhere, just looks like a bad washout to me. Ari This might help : During misty / rainy weather at the pass I think it would be insane to "attack" some of the steep climbs at speed while towing a trailer. Should one suddenly have to stop at one of these steep inclines for whatever reason, I think things might get very complicated: Danie

Shaune. I just know after 28 june works for me. Maybe early july??Do not realy want to hijack your plan. More like copy! But i am also a rookie, dont think u have much to worry about in a niva. A few niva s and some snow wil also make some nice photos. But u make the dates pls i wil fall in if i can. Things to do there... snow ski and just "chillin" with friens.

Legally only if it was scrapped in 2005.

Also soon you will not be able to re register a de registered car. Rebuilds will also net be allowed. Unfortunately you will have to pay the fines. My fines was more than my salary when I had to pay them.

You will have to get SAPS clearance on the engine as not being stolen, re-register the already registered body with the transplant engine and SAPS clearance I may be sounding like a doomsayer but the chances of finding a registered body(paid up) to transplant to will be very low

Just to put the thread back on course - Miles recently went up Sani and apart from a wheel bearing issue (CV Joint fools over tightening the hub nut) he had a blast.
