I am trying to source a complete set of rubber seals for the front brakes for a Lada Niva. The set has its own part nr. 2121-3501206 ( ladaniva.co.uk/baxter/resources/Front_brakes.htm ) Any advice would be appreciated:pentzhaven@telkomsa.net

Hi Angus
Welcome to the forum.
The Fiat Unu seals (part No 4396) were for the brake Master cylinder, and I am not sure if it will fit on the front brake cylinders as well.
The Fiat kit did not include any dust caps either.
If your dust caps are still in good condition, it might be worthwhile to compare the original (worn) seals with the seals in the Fiat kit - there is a possibility that it might fit.
Hope this helps
Regards
Danie

Thanks guys...have decided to rather get two sets ( 12 dustcaps and 12 seals) via Ebay for R150 (postage inc) as locally the only place i can get them want R120 for 3 dustcaps and 3 rings. Will just take a bit longer.

I replaced my 5th gear with a complete new output shaft with splines which meant that I had to replace quite a few other parts as well. The old output shaft does not have these splines which means I have some parts (some brand new) that I can no longer use. All these part are still in good working condition. Attachment shows new replacement parts.
These are:
1. Output Shaft 2107-1701105 2. Coupling Flange 2101-1701243 3. 5th Gear Bush 2101-1701133 4. Syncro Unit Hub 2107-1701174 5. Reverse Gear 2107-1701140 6. Reverse Idle Gear 2121-1701080 7. 5th Speed Gear Unit 2107-1701138 8. Syncro Unit Sleeve 2107-1701176
The 5th Speed Gear Unit is not the 5th gear assembly– as this was badly damaged each time the nut came undone. I have two Syncro Unit Hubs – one is virtually brand new and the other is in working condition. Last time I checked this particular part was quoted at around R800 by a dealer but unfortunately not for sale as an individual part. The Syncro Unit Sleeve is brand new. The little key where all the parts slide onto the shaft is also available.
The highest bidder gets the loot (all or individually). Postage excluded. Might even be willing to swop for something useful.

Hi all, A possible way(legally) to get parts in from Russia could be to talk to AMO's who do the maintenance on MI 18 helicopters. They regulary bring in containers with spares. As long as you can provide the invoice and clearance documents there should not be an issue. There is an AMO at PMB airport, one in Nelspruit and one somewhere in the Cape Peninsula. Cheers Spikes
