id also love something like a 2.5td in my niva, iv been looking around and seen 3 nivas with merc 240d conversions on diffrent sites. i think that would be a nice mod. too bad no one here in capetown that i have spoken to is willing to try a motor swap on my nive

there are nivas with the v6 in already, id print out the write up and use as much of the info as possible and work from there. the thing with the ford v6 altho they aint to expensive and there are plenty around, is how do you fit it inside the lada...space is the biggest problem

i think the golf or opel 2l 8v would also make a good niva. its also an inline 4cylinder and it can be turbo`d with easy for extra power if need. they can be bought from every import place and spares are dirt cheap

Chev nivas have them in but they run differnt G/B and drive train
