Hi Mike
Congratulations on your daughters achievements, my sister used to do hip hop so I know it isn't easy to reach that level.
My lada (got it friday) jumps out of 3rd gear. Any idea what I should look for? Do you have a local part number for the diff pinion oil seal and also the front seal on the tc? Or would it be best for me to remove them and then take them to my local oil seal supplyer? Thank you in advance.

Just a uptdate.
CAPE LADA DOCTOR IS GOING STRONG A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL SUPPORTING ME. I HAVE ALSO HAD LOADS OF CALLS FOR ADVICE ON REPAIRS AND PURCHASE NATION WIDE, WHICH I HOPE HAVE GONE DOWN VERY WELL AS QUITE A FEW NEW OWNERS IN THE CAPE NOW. WELL CAPE LADA DOCTOR NOW HAS SERVICED WELL OVER 35 LADAS ON GOING STRONG.
GIVING ADVICE IS ALWAYS MY PLEASURE TO THOSE IN NEED. I MIGHT NOT POST MUCH TECH BUT ALL THE OTHER GUYS ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB AS IT IS.
CAPE LADA DOCTOR IS BUSY IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH OVERSEAS COMPANIES FOR PARTS SUPPLY AT A BETTER COST. BUT THIS IS TAKING A LOT OF TIME. I WILL HOPEFULLY BE STARTING A FULL PARTS SUPPLY CENTRE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A WEBSITE OF INFORMATION AND PICTURES...JUST CASH FLOW THATS ALL IS NEEDED. MIDAS WILL HOPEFULLY COME ON BOARD AND WILL BE HELPING TO ALSO GET MORE PARTS READILY AVAILABLE.
THE WORKSHOP..............WELL THIS I AM IN DEBATE AS IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY TO STOCK UP WITH EQUIPMENT...BUT HOPEFULLY SOON AS I AM RUNNING OUT OF SPACE HERE AT HOME.
WELL ONCE AGAIN BIG THANKS TO ALL AND THE POSITIVE COMMENTS FROM THE OTHERS.... THIS HAS BECOME A ROYAL MISSION TO GET AS MANY LADAS BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN IN WORKING CONDITION.
LOOK OUT FOR EVENTS IN THE WESTERN CAPE COMING SOON........PRIZES WILL BE ALSO OUT ON THE DAY........
I HOPE THAT I CAN BE OF ANY ASSISTANCE FOR ADVICE IF NEEDED SO JUST PM OR EMAIL ME...PLEASE BE PATIENT FOR MY REPLY AS I AM VERY BUSY WITH THE LITTLE BEASTS...AND ALSO OTHER PROJECTS OF GREAT PROPORTIONS TO BE RE-VEILED LATER.
ALL THE BEST

Danie Good morning. May your venture be fruitful, it's beneficial to everybody when parts is more freely available. It is very much appreciated that you will be able to supply spare parts. That's my main Constraint. It's much easier when I go to the supplier to view and explain what I need. I'm sure there's also a need for Spares in WC. 150 members and a few more. I've also found a Lada Mech in Klapmuts. Our Lada is up and running. I still have a slight problem with the R/H Disc occasionally touching the carrier when cornering at reasonable speed. Otherwise it's just fine. I think that it's the bush part of the hub that's worn. Grinding Marks is visible, and just 1mm too short. If I could get a and fit an Oil Seal Ring it may resolve the problem. I've attached a pic of the R/H bush showing the marks and grinding. I can only work on a Saturday on The Lad - Time constraint. Maybe you can advise. There's some kind of a cup on the L/H bush, going over the CV Splined shaft which is not on the R/H side. It's about 20mm in hight, but increase the part of the bush that touches the bearing/Oil Seal Ring with 1mm. The L/H side does not touch the Carrier. That cup is just the correct size to prevent the Hub from penetrating too deep into the Stub Axle. Here's a link to the pic posted 12/02 in After Market Front Wheel Bearings: locsa.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=downloadattachmentpage&board=technical&thread=125&post=11112The L/H bush also differs from the R/H bush. It this bush perhaps an After Market Replacement? If it is indeed one, can you perhaps supply a Part no / Supplier? I'm trying my best explain, but I'm sure you'll be able to form a mental pic of the problem. Kind regards Stephen

Stephen Hi Stephen I am not planning to supply any parts in future, so I assume your post has been addressed to Mike ? I am just the oke who gets in trouble for trying to get spares available at more affordable prices . ;D Regards Danie.......
