Hi all
The previous owner removed the reverse light switch, stipped the hole completely and superglued a plug in. The reverse lights were working thru a toggle switch. I am going to fit my diff lock switch in the gearbox for the time being. Is there a switch from any other vehicle that works. Otherwise I will just drive without the diff lock switch.
Regards
Charles

You will need to plug the diff switch then or you will get dirt in the T/C.

Just a question regarding the difflock (or "transfer lock" ) switch:
I assume that switch activates a warning light at the instrument panel when the Transfer Box has been locked ?
I have used the transfer lock quite often in the past, but no light ever came on.

Hi Danie
The answer is yes. You may have a dud lamp, switch, or wiring problem.

Hi Charles
You will have a sample so you can check at the local spares shop. You never know you may be lucky. Watch the thickness of the washer as it does affect the operation of the switch.

Ari i will plug it. Ronnie i have had that problem on other cars. I will test it with the continuity tester. I am going to pratly the switch in. Not the right way but it works. to have it drilled, taped and a helicoil fitted is just too expensive.
