Hi
Just want to find out: if the ?rear diff? selector fork has broken because of a worn bush (which has been replaced afterwards) and welded back on, should I shy away from the car, or stil consider buying it?
Cheers Adam

Oh yes... engine is running rich as well (carb model). Is that adjustable?

Hi Adam
If the owner told you "the rear diff selector fork has broken" , he simply does not know what he is talking about - the Transfer Box does not have a selector fork for the rear diff only. Repairs to the Transfer Box could be expensive if you can't do repairs yourself.
I would rather do a compression test on the engine as well - indications that the engine is running rich could also be a result of warn piston rings, worn piston sleeves, or leaking valves.
I guess all depends on the price of the car.........
Regards
Danie
