Hi LadaNiva Belgium Thanks for the Info about heating the Gasket. Should it just be heated b4 the installion and let it cool down or keep heated throughout the process. It looks so brittle, I'll ask the Mech if he still has the gasket.

it should be hot throughout the process. I used to heat them up in hot oil. One must work very fast: gasket on engine, head on gasket, bolt it down on torque and leave it

I would imagine that creates quite a solid seal.
