Hi All! Long time no "see".. Spikes and Ari, I had my Lada's exhaust system replaced the other day, fuel consumption MUCH better!! Getting around 9km/L now But.. Now the thrust bearing went... Was about to leave work the other day, and it refused to go into gear. Only went into gear when I switched the engine off, put it in 1st en left clutch, could get it all "ruk-en-pluk" into company driveway, someone came to fetch it the next day.. They had a look at it today, seems like thrust bearing went but not sure where we will be able to get new one!! So... Anyone with a spare one perhaps??? Enjoy. Adri

Hi Adri The bearing should be available locally. I do not have the replacement number. Have a look at this thread. It would be a very good time to replace the clutch and pressure plate at the same time. Some of the clutch kits will have the release bearing as part of the kit: locsa.proboards.com/thread/1204/clutch-release-thrust-bearing-issues. The pilot bearing on the gearbox should also be replaced as well as the Thrust washer between the gearbox and the clutch housing. Parts should not be more than about R1700 and labour for a gearbox centre type of workshop 4hrs Regards Spikes
