Front bearing conversation is simple and makes big fun! Bearing set from Ivecy Daily, here the order numbers: FAG________713690830 FLENNOR____FR670812 MARGO_____3224 MARGO_____3224/1 OPTIMAL____681923 RUVILLE_____4013 SKF_________VKBA3551 SNR_________R14013 VECTOR_____VEW0344 The axle arm must be milled, here the data: On the right is the flute with 2,6mm. It is for the locking ring (75) On the left is a edge, 2mm thick. From the outside edge to end of axle must be 13,7mm. Steering works much more direct now. Big wheels are no more problem. Water has no more chance to wash out fat. There must be a difference between 1700 and 1600 axle. I dont know what exactly... how ever, i know about five Nivas with this bearing without problems. But also there are two with problems, me and another 1600. It is no big problem, easy to solve. In case of wrong sitting (brake disc not in middle) you just need two rings of alu. 2mm is enough. hope i can help, greets Jakob

I have seen pics of the mod before but no details. Thank you very much. This is fantastic. No more adjusting wheel bearings no more problems.

No!
Without the 2mm it must be 13,75mm, the red line must be 15,75mm.

Hi Jakob
I would like to move the posts regarding the bearing and axle arm conversion to technical. Is that in order?
Regards

Nice work! I would like to chase up a price of those bearings and maybe machine up my spare arms. Bearings vary alot in price here. ie Lada rear wheel bearing $60 same bearing aftermarket $300.

The axle arm must be milled, here the data: On the right is the flute with 2,6mm. It is for the locking ring (75) On the left is a edge, 2mm thick. From the outside edge to end of axle must be 13,7mm. Jakob - I have two SKF bearings on order and have two steering knuckles waiting to be milled! JUST TO BE SURE: the bearing goes in from the axle side (right hand side in your excellent rendering above)... wheel bolts on to the left, is that correct? I'll let you know how it goes after installation. -Eric

Ja correct. Bearing comes from axle side. SKF is very good choice.
Do you use 1600-er or 1700-er knuckles?
