Good afternoon, thank you for your wonderfull forum and all the good advice. I am struggling with my steering box and would like to know if somebody has a steering box for me. I read that you can fit a Toyota steering box, which I did. After I had completed all the work with the backing plate and even making up an extention for the brake booster and after fitting the steering box, I realized that it turns to the opposite direction. We were disappointed but we had a good laugh. So, if you want to go the Toyota route make sure it will turn to the right direction. I live in the Pretoria area. Gerhard 084 5862753

Welcome Gerhardy
Did you center the steering output shaft before you fitted the drop arm?

Spikes on some steering boxes the drop arm points to the back and some to the back. That is where the different worm gears gets used. Some are turned to the right and some to the left.
