Hi Ari To answer your questions there are things that are necessary and others nice to have. I built the landy up to be able to survive away from civilization for extended periods and be completely self sufficient. The landy has the following, and you can select what you think you need for your requirements. I will put a guide price at each and you will see why I cannot equip the Lada for what may be our last trip. Roof top tent R8000 Fridge freezer R10500 Water tanks R1500 Winch and recovery gear R10000 Long range diesel tanks R4000 Battery power 7x deep cycle batteries With 2 x alternators R7000 5 amp solar panel to charge 3 x batteries. R4000 Awning R2000 Gas bottles and oven etc R2000 Off road GPS R10500 Safe`s for money and documents R700 Won`t bore you with the rest but this gives you the picture, and excludes the vehicle preparation which exceeded R40000 When we started our trips we managed without the likes of the Fridge Freezer, but you end up eating out of tins a lot of the time. Regards Ronnie

Hi Hercules
In my opinion there are 2 outstanding 4x4 vehicles and I have owned both. Both have very similar running gear with the front suspension being the only difference. Unfortunately I do not own the Landy now as I sold it when I retired. Fortunately I can use it when ever I want. ;D

Hi Danie
There are a lot of good people around. I sold the Landy to an Indian by the name of Danny who has become a genuine friend. In fact he treats me and Freda like one of the family. Of course it works both ways ;D.
