Hi Gav Thanks!! I had my reading specs on and misread slightly Has anyone here in SA seen 50 cal ammo boxes. That would be a real nice handy size. The 7.62 cal is a bit small. I have one that carry weather instruments in. Spikes

I have 2 sizes of ammo boxes I brought here with me from SA. Not sure what ammo they were for but the smaller ones have 4 slides on the lid to keep them closed and the larger size has 4 plastic clips. I bought them at the side of the road in Kempton Park.

The boxes I'm referring to carried ammo for machine guns in 100 shot belts so they are narrow and elongated. They also seal very tight and usually have a type of seal in the lid The normal "run of mill boxes" are mostly for bulk ammo in pouches. I'll post pic later.
