By having a close look at the differences in impeller design, I thought that the "plastic" impellers in water pumps might create better water circulation in the cooling system - compared to the cast iron impellers.
Does anyone know whether "plastic" waterpump impellers indeed cause better water circulation ?

Hi Danie
I don't know witch is best, but I always think there is too much made from plastic in the interests of saving weight. Years ago parts made from metal were stronger and seemed to last longer. So much for progress!!!

Hi Ronnie
As far as I know the "plastic" impellers are a fairly "new" component, and I am not sure if the new design is causing better cooling results - therefore my question.
I just thought while both models can still be imported, it might be worthwhile for owners to order the "better one", when needed.
