I have just spotted a 2002 RHD in the for sale section so I guess that answers my question

ZAR30000.00 (the average local price of a Niva in "good" condition = just over 4400.00 AUD
Shipping cost might be a bit steep though.

Hallo Bobby.
No multipoint fuel injection Lada's were imported to South Africa.
The only fuel injection Lada availlable here is the central fuel injection.
Regards.

If I understand correctly, they used an old type throttle body injection (which have been used on the aging models in Australia) on the newer year models which have been sold in South Africa???

i was told it was the throttle body injection they were still using there. peeps mistake it for a carby under the air cleaner, has one nozzle for spraying fuel down throat (single point injection)

Hi Hercules I assume that's what we've got in South Africa then - a throttle body injection, which means it looks like a carb, and has only one injector which spray the fuel down the throat of the intake manifold ? Sorry about the questions, but I have never seen one of the local fuel injection engines before . Regards Danie
