Hey All!
I recently (Monday) bought a Lada 2001 model, been wanting one for ages but never had the means to get one . after a loooooooong search on the net i found a pretty little lady in bethal went and got her and my wife has nicknamed her THE BOS PARRA
My mate here in Harties has one and i believe we are now four including me members her at the dam.
i have started sorting her out mechanically ( late nights in the workshop )wife says I'm having an affair with my lada ;D
lada runs like a clock did comfy 120 on the highway and nearly died from petrol smell in the cabin...................... followed some of the links i found here on your sight and buy process of illumination seem to have sorted that out .
fitted a nice set of 215 70 15 Goodyear all terrains but it catches I'm assuming on the fenders so a bit of a body mod is in order. cant wait to get the mini monster into the bush !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all welcome to the forum. The petrol smell in the Niva might be a leak in the fuel line from the petrol tank. Mine has a leak just above the transfer case. This might get you stuck on the Mozambique borderpost . Regards, Allen

Hi Glenn
Welcome to the Forum. One thing to check when you get a petrol smell is the small tank in the rear wing on the drivers side. If it leaks replace it as it is nearly impossible to fix.
