Hi Charles
No problem. I will try to contact him. I need some weird plastic parts like switches and I want to fit a back board in my Lada so I need to see if the 1700 side panels can be modified to fit a 1600. I already have the back board from a 1700.

Hi Ari The Pitbulls look realy great - but with a setup like that you would need to lift and cut otherwise you will only be able to cruise the highway with no potholes (I know you know that) ;D I am sure they will be quite noisy but they wil be able and willing mudd pluckers - enjoy Regards Marius

Hi Ari
That looks great! Making me very jealous. Will be interesting to see if they cause you steering/ bearing problems. I see the over fenders are off. ;D ;D ;D I must say overall your lada looks great with the all the accessories.

I know the purists will blame me for raising this option , but I think the wheels might not touch if the arches get cut back slightly.......... Danie

Hi Danie
He is indeed going to cut the arches. That is why I can get the overfenders. ;D Great to have a friend like that.

Hi
Do not worry I will not butcher my lada, she must still be beautiful after the arch trim, I will do it as neat as I can.

Put the other 2 wheels on today , removed the other 2 fenders, and put in the ball joint spacers.

Hi Ari
Looking at the pics (previous page) the Pitbulls doesn't seem to extend more from the chassis than the 205's, fitted to my Lada.
Any possibility of sending more pics - one right from the front, and one from the rear ? Will be highly appreciated.
Regards
Danie

Hi Ari
It will be interesting to see over time how the Pit bulls last considering they are remoulds. I personally would not under any circumstances use remoulds.

Hi Ronnie I must admit, remoulds could be a bit risky if used by some of our "high speed members"......... I owned a Bedford truck before and I only used remoulds - never had any problems. Regards Danie

Hi Ronnie
The remoulds are rated at 120km/h. More than enough for the lada. I have talked to a couple of guys who use them and are very happy with them. They get about 50 000km on a set. They say after you start using them you will never again go back to more expensive tyres. For the price of one "brand name" tyre you can buy four remoulds. The farmers around here love them. So there must be something about them.

Hi Ari Time will tell . I don`t like remoulds, and speed is one thing there is also load. Remoulds are only as good as the carcase and the company doing the remoulds. Ronnie

Hi Ronnie
I dont think load is going to be a problem, the lada is light compared to 1 ton bakkies.
