1.5891L to be exact with a 80 crank and 79.5 bore. Maybe just the repair kit, unless you suspect the pump the be damaged beyond repair for some reason. Ari Just check the number on the block between spark plug 2 & 3 and just above the engine mounting on the left side of the engine please.

Hi Guys, I after I had weighed my options carefully I decided to buy a second hand engine with 50 000km. I've received the engine this weekend. It was a bit of a gamble but luckily i will have many spares to sell if something goes wrong. will receive the results of the compression test tomorrow, turned the crank by hand fairly easy. Do you have any suggestions for me to lookout for before i install the engine? I will look at the timing and fit new crank oil seals.
Regards Rudi

While the engine is out I would replace the welsh plugs. Much easier to do now and then you know its done. Just remember to use genuine seals as they are directional.

Hi Rudi
They meant genuine oil seals for the crank. The welsh plugs are std 40mm ones available at spares shops.
For the seals, you can ask Ventz, Mike, Chris Swales or Lada centurion. Or from Pavel at Ladapower or Ladaworld if you dont mind waiting.
