Hi Dewald
That is a very good price for door to door including all costs.

Considering that you can pay well over R1000 for a thermostat locally - nice Dewald! Pavel (Ladapower) should get hero status on LOCSA! Marius

I would also like to commend Pavel for his excellent good customer service.
I ordered a door lock set, but when it arrived the keys didn't match the barrels. As it was in a sealed blister pack, it was obviously not his fault but the manufacturer who messed up.
I emailed him and asked if I could return locks so he could take it up with the manufacturer, but he said that was not necessary, he would just send me new set free of charge.
I wish there were companies in South Africa who offered service like this.

Yea, I have also experienced an extremely good service from Pavel.
For the first time ever, the local Suppliers do not have any choice, other than than competing at the same business level.
I have been "blacklisted" by the local Suppliers - but who cares, when a service like Pavel's is available by just pressing a button . ??

A quick question guys, do you use paypal to do online payments and if so, is it difficult to set up a Paypal account?

Thumbs up to Pavel and his service. As for Paypal just make sure you select your country correctly. It is a bitch toe get right if you cocked it up in the setup. Maybe I was plain stupid but I ended up living in the UK:(

Hi Guys This updated schedule of postal rates I requested from Pavel of LADAPOWER will give new members an idea of the costs involved when importing spares from the Ukraine. STANDARD AIRMAIL with tracking (takes about 3 to 6 weeks) 0.1 – 0.5 kg = 13.00 USD 0.5 – 1.0 kg = 17 USD 1.1 – 2.0 kg = 27 USD 2,1 - 3,0 kg = 46.00 USD 3,1 - 4,0 kg = 55.00 USD 4,1 - 5,0 kg = 64.00 USD 5,1 - 6,0 kg = 73.00 USD 6,1 - 7,0 kg = 81.00 USD 7,1 - 8,0 kg = 90.00 USD 8,1 - 9,0 kg = 98.00 USD 9,1 - 10,0 kg = 107.00 USD (This schedule goes all the way up to 50kg @ 463.00 USD) EXPRESS AIRMAIL with tracking (takes about 1 to 2 weeks) 0.1 – 0.5 kg = 56.00 USD 0.5 – 1.0 kg = 78,00 USD For every additional kg thereafter ADD 4.53 USD per kg PLUS 3.00 USD per PARCEL for packaging for anything over 1kg 3.00 USD misc fee charged by local Ukrane P.O. On arrival in SA 20% Import Duty, plus 14% VAT, will be then be added to the value of the goods but the spares are still incredibly cheap. NIKKI

Thanks for the valuable information, Nikki. For prospective buyers: Much appreciated! It is worthwhile "adding" bits and pieces to an order of essential spares. Pavel can supply the weight of items (most already have weight listed on the website). Get as close to the top end weight of your essential spares. That way one can build up a good set of spares without spending to much on freight .

Also on heavier packages EMS works out cheaper.

Placed an Order @ Pavel. He replied on Sunday, that he goes to Russia on Fridays. eMail sent to him this morning - waiting on his feedback.
Enjoy the Monday.
