Just try to get oil shocks not gas. Also not heavy duty.

Charles, I am sure you said to me last time that I must get gas not oil. Maybe I misheard.
Midas, when I check a few months ago had the shocks that will work, just dont remember what part numbers they were.

Steve th gas shocks are bumpy on the Niva. Also they break the std shock mountings. I have Gabrial Safari all round. Heavy duty gas offroad. Broke a mounting a week ago.

Steve dont. They are very hard and eat up the disks. The OEM pads are fantastic.

On a positive note - discs are available at Autozone, so is there really any need to worry about OEM parts . Danie

Hi Stephen
Quentin Hazell has suitable balljoints. Vincent fitted a set. I had the numbers on by 'phone but messages clear on the last day of the month.. If you PM him he might still have it handy, it is somewhere on the forum as well
Hope you come right

Hi. QSJ767S is the part number for Niva ball joints.
Remember to drill and tap to put grease nipples in. I am not sure on where the relevant thread is.

Kind regards Steve Hi Steve I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say 'wheel seals' but I think I can help you with the hub oil seals part no 2121-3103038 which I can always replace later. Please clarify. NIKKI

Hi
If it is those seals, Ventz has them in stock at about R100 each, but he is overseas for th next few weeks, Ia m not sure what Mike, Chris Swales or Centurion Lada would charge for them.
Pavel (www.ladapower.com) has them at $3 each, Ventz is overseas for the next 7 weeks.
Tjeers

Dear All Good morning. Thank You for the Replies
@vincent Did you buy local? Please supply the name of a Supplier. @nikki It's indeed called Oil Seals. The Oil Seals on the Front Hubs covering the Bearings. Please sent me the price & postage. I'll do an EFT or eWallet, whatever you prefer, just send me the Info. My Address: Stephen Waries, 29 Klein Parys Road, Klein Parys, PAARL, 7646.
I plan on taking leave next week to have the Gearbox repaired and would like to replace the Bearings, Oil Seals, Ball Joints. The Local Gearbox Centre Mechanic told me that he can Repair it. Apparently he has done one before. Still need to check on that. I need the name of the Client.
Kind regards Stephen

Hi Stephen
Vincent bought those QH ball joints from Chris Swales in KZN. Some of the larger part stockist may stock QH, but by having the number available a spares shop could cross reference and provide a similar part from another source
