Hi Dewald,
I have a set of 4 Sidekick mags BUT am not willing to break up the set. Please check the allowable mass on the tow-hitch. I think you may be coming close to the rated limit
Regards

That setup is seriously going to compromise access to your boot.

Hi Dewald
I assume the first pic at this topic is a pic of the spare wheel at your Lada ?
If so, what is the brand and size of the tyre ?
Pitbull from PE ??

Danie That is a BFG mud. Looks like a 245/70R15. But that is a guess, but Im 100% sure its a BFG. Best tyres in the world.

Hi Dewald Are your Goodyears Wrangler At / SA's ? If so, are you happy with them ? After a lot of considering I have decided to fit a set of Goodyear Wrangler 205 / 70 / 15 AT/SA tyres to a set af Sidekick rims during the next week - like the tyre at the left on this pic: The Wranglers 205 / 75 / 15's are actually a bit cheaper, but I think the slight lower profile of the 205 / 70's might be better (more engine power) during off road conditions. General fuel consumption might be better with the 205 / 75's , I am not sure - but I am more interested in a bit more power during off road conditions. Does it make any sense ? Danie

Danie, it makes sense theoretically, but as Ari says, it will be so small that you will not notice it

Danie rather look at Continental Worldcontact 4x4 tyres. I have heard lots of guys complaining about the Good Years.

Hi Ari / Spikes / Charles Another reason why I prefer the 205 / 70's, is because I know for a fact that the wheels will not touch the wheel arches - which means there is no need to cut the arches, or to install a lift kit to the Lada. I must admit, I was always thinking of lifting my Lada , to fit bigger wheels, as well as to cut the arches for bigger wheels , but maybe I am getting lazy or growing old - I have decided rather to fit wheels with a lower profile. Charles, the Conti's seems to be more popular - but I have also seen quite a number of complaints about those tyres at the 4 x 4 Community forum....I've also had a close look at two separate vehicles at work today - both had Conti's fitted. In short - I prefer the "Wrangler appearance". Danie
