Is anyone aware of any new vehicles by Autovaz?
I have just been followed through the centre of Johannesburg by what appeared to be a brand new double cab bakkie in Lada green. The logo on the vehicles as a flat oval, with the Lada design in it instead of the rectangular one.
It did not look like anything I have seen before and I was unable to get a photo (slightly hard to do while driving). It was right hand drive.
Anyone got any ideas?

The Nissan Infiniti brand is being launched. That badge does look a bit like a Lada badge

TOGLIATTIGRAD, Russia — Russia's AvtoVAZ has officially launched production of its new flagship model, the Lada Largus, a boxy people mover built on a global platform provided by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The Largus shares its basic underpinnings with such products as the Nissan Cube, the Renault Sandero and the Dacia Lodgy. The new Lada will be available in two versions — the R90 passenger wagon in five- and seven-seat variants and the F90 two-seat cargo van. Originally developed for Renault's Romanian subsidiary Dacia, the B0 architecture that underpins the Largus is now used on a variety of models, mainly in emerging markets. The Largus represents the first joint project between AvtoVAZ and Renault-Nissan. Backed by an investment of $550 million, the partners eventually plan to produce five models on the B0 platform and sell them in Russia under the Lada, Renault and Nissan brands. Total production of the Largus this year is expected to reach 27,000 cars (most of which will be the R90), with output ramping up to 70,000 cars over the next few years. Total planned capacity in Togliattigrad is 280,000 cars, including 70,000 for Nissan and 140,000 for Renault. The next B0 model off the line is the new Nissan Almera, which will be launched in November. Sales of Lada Largus will start in July 2012. The new model will be priced from around $11,000-15,000 for the station wagon, and $10,000-$13,000 for the van. Inside Line says: The level of localization of the Largus is currently 50 percent, with the possibility to increase local content up to 72 percent. Attachments:
