Da, Comradskis. Putin input.
Options (?) :
1. A meeting somewhere central in South Africa where we can all go, or 2. We delegate by region/province smaller events so that we all don't have to drive too far.
I think to get a consensus on either of these directions would be a good start.
Darryn.

Yeah sounds good.
To drive 700+km for 1 day of meeting everyone and seeing all the ladas together and then 700+km back home is asking much I think.
Maybe we split it to gauteng + northwest + mpumalanga + limpopo together and then the cape areas and natal coast separately.

Hi Ari.
My question to you is under what region do you fall. Gauteng or Eastern Cape?

Just remember, the lada is a bit bigger then a wheel. You cant take it on the plane with your luggage.

I think to try and arrange a long weekend somewhere central and then in the areas small meetings if there is a couple of guys who couldnt make the weekend jamboree. I think it will be fun to fill a campsite with ladas.

Hi
Most companies will probaly close on the 15 December which creates an loooonnnggg weekend consisting of 16 thur, 17 fri, 18 sater, 19 sun.
This means you have the 16 to travel to the campsite, 2 days to lada around (17 & 18) and the 19 to travl home, or to continue with your holiday.

I suggest that we all do an offroad day within our regions. One in Natal, one in Gauteng/Mpumalanga or thereabouts, one in the cape etc. I'll look for easily accessible trails within the regions. Suggestions are very, very welcome. How about either Saturday 13 or 20 November?
We'll keep it simple- arrive, kick each other's tyres, play in some mud, have a braai and go home.

Sorry to all the coastal Lada dudes, but for the meantime I'm going to suggest that the northern folk do either the Tau trail just outside Krugersdorp (closer for Marius) or the Hennops trail in Magalies.
What say you?

Hey guys,
Look at the section "photos" of LOCSA. You will see a few events in Natal and all happy Lada owners driving offroad, having fun, socializing and finding new friends. Thanks to our leader Dave Borlase who united us and was always ready for new adventures. We've been to the beach, to Lessoto, to bird show, of course always with braai and beer. Unfortunately later he sold his Lada and we orphaned. It was a great time and I'll support every atempt to bring back some of these emotions. 3 or 4 days somewhrere in the wild - end of December, begining of January - why not???

Hi Ventz
I fully agree - there is no reason why regular meetings would not be possible.
Once my Lada is back on the road, I would like to join meetings at a regular basis as well. Perhaps we could have meetings once every month, or every two months, etc. etc.
I have attended many meetings and rallies within the motorcycle community in the past, and I cannot think about a single reason why we cannot do the same. Fact is - we all share the same passion.
It would be great if you are involved at meetings as well - you clearly have great experience in this regard, and your input would be very helpful.
Regards
Danie

Hi Darryn
Hows it going? I had an idea tonight.
When we go to this meeting we should have a competition of different categories; best Lada, most original Lada, best modifications etc.
What do you think??
