I assume there are quite a few Nivas in that part of the world. It very much depends on which year model your boss ordered how easy maintenance will be there! The latest Ladas for example were build with General Motors being involved. The engines were fitted with electronic ignition and multipoint ( Bosch) fuel injection etc. No, the fuel injection is not just a bolt on, on the old Niva head. Fortunately it sounds if the drivetrain is still the same to a large extent.
Beware of fitting much bigger or wider wheels on the Niva if you plan to use the Niva for real off-roading or hard work. A diff lock on the rear axle is an excellent investment on a Niva used for heavy going off-road.
We are very interested to see some photos of a Niva in that part of the world. What type of work are going to do there with the Niva?
