Hi Douw
I see you have also trimmed the bottom lip off the side panels. It looks better.

Douw, that looks fantastic! Is it carpet or rubber (or other) that you used on the floor? Would I be right to suppose that you are not going to put the back seat in again? Thanks Jaco. It's carpet. There's some foam sheeting over the fuel tank, then the stock Niva 'plastic' mat and then the carpet. The stock 'plastic' mat is very slippery and I don't want things sliding around in the back of the Niva, especially not my dogs ;D EDIT: Correct, the seat isn't going back in.

Hi Douw Just read that you are not putting the Backseat back. If it's permanent, any chance to part with the clips securing the Backseat?
Regards Stephen

Regards Stephen Hey Sephen, if you're looking for the ones at the top/back of the seat (bolted to body) then speak to Ari, I gave them to him when he visited a few weeks ago...

Hi Douw
That price sounds about right for good car grade carpeting.

Ari Sorry to bother
Douw's response refers Do you perhaps have an extra clip securing the Backseat and what's your price? I need the RH side, but think it's the same.
Kind regards Stephen

Hi Charles, I have refitted the rubber mat. There's a company called Truco (old Transvaal Rubber Company), they supply rubber sheeting. Find out from them if they have the sheeting you need. We can always arrange to get it down to you...

Thanks all (although I can't take the credit). It cost R1500 + VAT. The entire dash has a layer of glass fibre over it. If anyone intends taking their dash to Michael just be very specific about what needs to be done and what detail needs to be kept. See where the speedo cluster shroud fits onto the dash, also where the centre consol fits onto the dash... This is because many of the clips on my dash are broken and I told Michael it doesn't have to be exact...

Hi Douw
The dash top looks like new. I have seen many repaired ones in the past and they all left a lot to be desired. I will have to stick with my own repair as I do not have spare cash. If I was still working I would have no hesitation on using your supplier.

Douw, I think LOCSA may have just found their most wanted repair :-). Perhaps we should find an old dash , send it into Michael to be repaired and when you get it, your dash gets swopped / rotated to the next niva. This was the daily driver niva,s get a chance at a new dash.
