Hi guys
I am a newbie here, and the reason is that I am still looking for my Lada. I have responded to a number of ads on the net, but noone ever gwets back to me.
I really want a Lada. My plan is to do some cross-country travel up into northern Mozambique with it. Why a Lada? Because It's small, light and I can fix it enroute if I have to. I just don't want anything with fancy electronics and bitsies that can go wrong.
Here is the catch. I want the body, and drivetrain intact, but I don't particularily care if the engine is gone or blown. I want to build in a Toyota 2CT engine if possible. I have heard the conversion is difficult though and may settle on the Fiat Strada engine, even though I hear it's a bit lazy and expensive to maintain.
This would be a project car for me and I am very serious about the purchase.
Regards Wayne.

Hi Wayne
perhaps you should not be scared of the Lada Engine. With proper maintanance they are fairly reliable.
