Hi Charles When my partner and I had our business we had about 80 employees between semi skilled and labourers. My partner started lessons in our offices on a Saturday morning for them to be able to advance to a higher hourly rate and to the Companies benefit as well. They got free lessons, lunch, and a beer. It lasted 3 weeks and then there was too few attending to make it worth while. This is the new South Africa. Ronnie

Now that's what I'm talking about Bokke!!!! You'r swear they've been asleep for three weeks... I really really needed to see them play well. Got laid off last week and finishing end of Jan, also my Lada has been staring me down every morning demanding to be driven- I've been so frustrated by it! Also had too much beer.

Hi Darryn
If this will help to cheer you up - I've got an extra (used) camshaft sprocket, camshaft pulley, camshaft nut, and camshaft gear lying around......

Hi Danie and Charles It makes you wonder where the high price per hour that the garages charge goes to. It certainly does not go to the mechanics. Dare I say it goes toward the fancy receptions and COFFEE bars. Ronnie Car workshops here charge between 85-100 dollars per hour and my mechanic mates are getting paid between 16-22 dollars an hour and there is no way a house could be purchased after 18mths, no way never! Median house price in my town $470 000!!!!!!!!!! Madness!

Median house price in my town $470 000!!!!!!!!!! Madness! Sorry , I did not tell the full story about my son. He did not buy the house in cash - he and his wife qualified for a home loan at a bank, after he worked for about 18 months. His wife has been a student at the time when they bought the house, but also worked for a salary. So the home loan was based on both salaries. Danie

Hi all
I saw a beautiful purple 1.7 at my local Spar. Was hoping I would see the owner so I can invite the owner to the forum. Even the dash looks like new. Completely original except for the tyres. He has 195s on the 16" rims. Wish there was more Ladas like this one around.
