Hi Ronnie That second picture is exactly what I was planning to do. I currently just have a blank off in mine, So do you think it will work if the bottle is connected to that pipe? Here is a pic of my blank off. a bit off topic, but will you post a pic tomorrow of your window washer bottle? I want to fit a smaller bottle with just one pump as I have donated my headlight wipers to Ari. Charles

Hi Charles
I would imagine that connection will work. There is only one way to tell - try it. My problem is I want to eventually convert back to a genuine Thermostat. Then I will be forced to drill and tap the housing (maybe). I may use the connection which used to go to the carburettor heater which is simply bypassed at the moment. I see you still have the useless egr parts still fitted, rather remove them as it also gives you more space. I will take a pic of the after market washer bottle later today.

Ronnie I want to remove it. With my luck the bolts WILL break off and that is what I am scared off.

Hi Charles
I think the bolts are m8 so they should come out. If they don`t you have access to drill them out with out any problems.

Hi Ronnie
Thank you. I will then do it. The other pipe just bolts into the inlet manifold?

Hi Charles
The other pipe is into the manifold just behind the carb. 2 bolts no 10 spanner. Then just make a blank plate to blank it off.

Can you remember that is the thickness of the one you made for the one on the exhaust manifold? Charles

Hi Danie, will you maybe post a pic or two of your radiator? The "different" radiator on my Lada can be seen at the top of the next pic. The radiator cap "neck" is slightly shorter than the neck of the spare "more general" radiator at the bottom. (Only the top part of the "more general" radiator can be seen on the pic) The "different" radiator also has metal side tanks - unlike the plastic side tanks on the "more general" radiators. The core on my Lada's radiator : Danie

Hi Danie
The brass tanks are far better than the plastic ones, every one is using plastic tanks for the radiators.

Hi Danie
I would have prefered one like that. Like Ronnie said the brass tanks are better. Will also give me more piece of mind.
